Why JellyBar exists

Every Mac menu bar starts clean and ends cluttered. Install a handful of apps and the right side of your screen fills with icons you rarely look at — crowding out the ones you actually use. Worse, the order never stays put: a reboot or an update, and everything has shuffled again.

JellyBar fixes that. It lets you arrange your menu bar exactly the way you want, hide the icons you don't need behind a tidy chevron, and group what's left with spacers and bullets — then it keeps that layout in place through restarts, wakes, and new installs. Hover the bar to peek at hidden icons; click to reveal them. No more re-organizing the same icons week after week.

It was built on a simple principle: your menu bar is yours, and it should stay how you left it. JellyBar needs only Accessibility to do its job, makes no network requests of its own, and collects nothing — it just quietly keeps order and gets out of the way.

JellyBar is made by Marc Vigod, an independent developer based in New Jersey with thirty years of experience across web and software development. It's part of Vigod Labs — a one-person workshop building small, native Mac tools that each do one thing exceptionally well, with no accounts, no subscriptions, and no telemetry.

Every app is built and shipped personally. There's no team, no VC backing, and no growth roadmap pinned to a wall — just a stubborn preference for software that behaves itself and respects both your machine and your attention.
